The core tension was between Meridian's wide range of services and the need for a focused, memorable identity. We also had to navigate their founder's strong personal aesthetic preferences while ensuring the result would appeal to their target clients rather than just reflect personal taste. Balancing those two things required several rounds of directional exploration before we found the right path.

The final identity was built around the concept of clarity clean geometry, a precise wordmark, and a neutral palette with a single strong accent color that gave the brand personality without noise. The website was structured around outcomes rather than services, leading with results and case studies before explaining process. This shift in framing immediately changed how prospects engaged with the brand. Meridian reported that after launching the new identity, conversations with potential clients started from a position of trust rather than skepticism, and their average project value increased significantly within the first quarter.
